DAF Trucks is set to return to RTX 2025 with a strong focus on zero-emission vehicles, highlighting its commitment to expanding its electric truck range and maintaining its position as the UK’s number one truck brand.
This year also marks 30 years of DAF’s market leadership in the UK, celebrated with a special reveal on their outdoor stand B1 on the show’s first morning.
Zero-Emission Vehicles on Display
Inside the main exhibition hall at Stoneleigh, DAF will showcase its latest battery electric trucks designed for both urban distribution and longer distance haulage. The key models on display are the XD Electric and XF Electric ranges, offering practical features and advanced technology designed with the driver in mind.
DAF XD 270 FAN Electric
The XD 270 FAN Electric is a 6×2 rear-steer rigid truck with a 28-tonne GVW. It uses a 270 kW dual-motor electric powertrain supported by three battery packs delivering 315 kWh, giving it a range of up to 320 km. Charging options include DC fast charging up to 150 kW (325 kW optional) and an integrated 22 kW AC charger. This truck is built for urban and regional work, with safety features such as a kerb view window and a folding passenger seat, helping it achieve a 4-Star rating under London’s Direct Vision Standard. The model on show is fitted with a builders merchants’ body and an electric Hiab crane, highlighting its versatility.
DAF XF 350 FT Electric
The XF 350 FT Electric is a 4×2 tractor unit with a 42-tonne GCM, powered by a 350 kW dual motor and a three-speed transmission. It can deliver up to 400 km on a full charge, supported by up to five battery packs providing 525 kWh of energy. Charging options include DC fast charging up to 150 kW (with 325 kW optional) and 22 kW AC charging. The XF Sleeper High cab features safety improvements similar to the XD model and has a 3-Star Direct Vision Standard rating. The truck also includes a 650v ePTO capable of up to 90 kW for powering additional equipment.
Both vehicles are powered by PACCAR Powertrains and supported by PACCAR Power Solutions, which offer a full EV ecosystem including charging infrastructure and battery storage systems. DAF’s EV team will be available throughout RTX to advise on vehicle specifications, infrastructure, and fleet electrification.
Diesel Range and Parts Support Outside
Outside on stand B1, near the main entrance, DAF will display its diesel-powered trucks in the new ‘Flame Red’ corporate colour introduced at the end of 2024. This includes models from the New Generation XG tractor and XDC construction ranges, reflecting the varied needs of UK transport operators.
Next to the trucks, the PACCAR Parts and TRP stand will offer information on parts and aftersales support. TRP provides parts and consumables for all truck makes, while PACCAR Genuine Parts help ensure fleet reliability and uptime. Parts specialists will be on hand to discuss stock availability, logistics, and workshop services.
Ride & Drive Opportunities
Visitors with an HGV licence can test drive two popular DAF vehicles: the XG+ 530 6×2 tractor unit with trailer, and the XDC eight-wheel tipper. Those not wanting to drive can ride along with a DAF expert.
